Our sincere thanks to our school leaders, teachers and school staff

We trust that your girls have settled into the new school environment and are enjoying themselves in the large school campus that has many more open spaces for the girls to gather and play during recess. The sheer size of the new premises saw teachers and parent volunteers clocking 14,000 steps on their step trackers by the end of the school day!

The SMPS PTA would like to thank the 25 parent volunteers who came into school over 3 days (7-9 Jan) to assist the P1 teachers in class and to help the Primary Ones adjust to the school routine.

We would also like to extend our thanks to the school leaders, teachers and school staff who worked tirelessly to pack the school stationery, teaching materials, desks, chairs and other furniture from the old premises for transport to the new premises. The smooth transition into the school’s new premises was made possible by the teachers and support staff packing and unpacking over the school holidays. This ensured that our girls could start school on Day 1 of the new academic year.

Special thanks to the Operations Support Officers for moving furniture around the much larger premises as and when they are needed by our girls which is no mean feat considering the size of the new campus.

Thank you too to the school leaders, teachers and school staff for coming into school by 6:30am to begin their roles as traffic marshals before the start of the school day. They ensure the safety of our girls during drop off and dismissal by directing traffic and accompanying our girls across the street.

Unfortunately, school staff have been fielding calls from irate parents and residents unhappy about the traffic conditions during drop off and dismissal. We urge those who drive to follow the instructions of the traffic marshals so that traffic can flow smoothly.

The SMPS PTA is grateful to the school leaders, teachers and school staff and thank them for their efforts. We would like to encourage you and your girls to thank the school leaders, teachers and school staff too for all that they do for our girls.
